I met him in troubled times,
He stood by me through thick and thin,
Wiping my tears, lifting me up
Always there to catch me when I fall
Steady, dependable; my pillar of strength
Setting hearts aflutter with a glance turned gaze,
He clowned and teased, he made her laugh,
Drawing her in with lyrics like the pied piper,
Soothing her fears with just one line,
Bringing a smile to her face on weary days.
Two ships sailing on the sea,
Our paths crossed, time and time again;
Swapping tales of my rock so strong, her poet so deep
Till the big bang came and eureka we went
We shared the same man, I think.
